THE WORST SCENE I'VE EVER WITNESSED

Sunday, 15 August 2004, 10:06 a.m.

There used to be a big Encore mobile home park for retired people in Punta Gorda, and another large mobile home park on the other side of the street. Now, all you can see is a large garbage heap on both sides of the street. I was there Friday night trying to get to a relative's house a mile down Burnt Store Road, but the road was blocked by fallen trees and power poles that snapped in half.

As I turned the Jeep around, my headlights lit up the most devastating site I have ever seen... hundreds of mobile homes reduced to small pieces of trash. There were no emergency vehicles there yet and perhaps we were the first to stumble on this site hours after the eye of Charley had passed over that location.

My friend and I commented to each other how everyone must have gotten out since there was no sign of life anywhere. As we walked down the main entrance driveway, we realized how wrong we were. There were bodies under all that rubble and bodies in crushed cars. The silence was broken when we heard a faint voice off in the distance calling for help, but there was nothing we could do as there was no way to get through the rubble.

It doesn't matter what FEMA or the media may report about the two mobile home parks that were completely destroyed on that road. The truth is, there are hundreds of dead there and it will be weeks before they will be able to recover all the bodies.

We talked to an elderly survivor that night who was walking around the street in a daze looking for her cat. I couldn't help but think how she was somebody's mother She refused to let us help her or take her to a shelter. She told us that most of the year-round residents never left because they felt there was no danger. Many of them went to the clubhouse to ride out the storm. She said the clubhouse was the first to go as it collapsed on all the people inside. We walked up the road towards an approaching car to let them know the road was blocked, but when we returned to the Jeep, she was nowhere to be seen.

I can't find the words right now to describe what I saw Friday night. My own neighborhood on the Peace River is also demolished and I am one of only 3 who still has a home. As soon as we can finish getting all the LP gas tanks and lines shut off today, I'll rest much easier as we already had one explosion.

So, to all who reader this, keep your prayers headed toward all those less fortunate than I. Please send your love and compassion to the survivors. There is no electric, water, or phone service... and there won't be in our rural area for many days or weeks. Most have no place to live and are sleeping in cars. Even though my roof leaks, it's a welcome place for my neighbors each night. I had 100 gallons of water stored up and 120 gallons of diesel to run my generator. It's the first time I ever thought of my place as a sanctuary, but that's the name my neighbors have given it now.

It's amazing how life can change in the blink of an eye... even the eye of a hurricane.

FACTS UPDATE ON FLORIDA: AN EXCLUSIVE REPORT

Sunday, 15 August 2004, 7:43 p.m.

We watched the government helicopters go over our destroyed development many times today while we struggled with shutting off leaking gas lines. Much of the day was spent organizing 3 man shifts in security teams to keep sightseers - with their new digital movie cameras - from taking away any more of our dignity. My neighbor found his waterlogged 35mm camera and pretended to take pictures of the sightseers who got their cookies off capturing our personal tragedies for their home movies.

Today, we all realized that a disaster like this brings out both the best and the worse in people. I waited in an endless line at a gas station for almost 2 hours with a dozen gas containers today. As it was my turn to finally pull up to the pump, a Dodge Ram pickup flew into my spot from no-where. The driver jumped out and announced that he was a "news" reporter and that he needed gas to get back to Tampa to report the "news". Obviosuly, he felt he had priority over the gas my remaining neighbors needed for their electric generators.

In another incident, my friend ran out of gas trying to find a gas station that had any gas to pump. An old man driving an ancient rusted Cadillac stopped, gave him 5 gallons in a gas can from his trunk, and then took off without waiting to be thanked.

But the absolute worst act of greed took place yesterday when we bought two generators from HOME DEPOT in VENICE, Florida. The first purchase of a 5250kw generator at 11AM cost us $500. At 7PM last night, the EXACT SAME GENERATOR cost us $619. They raised the price for the same generator $119 and changed the stock number so that they won't get fined by FEMA. All I can say is that HOME DEPOT needs to be boycotted from coast to coast for price gouging and taking advantage of those of us who are trying to survive this disaster. I have the receipts to prove it.

Gasoline prices since Friday night have risen 10-30 cents per gallon IF you can get gasoline. We have driven as far as 50 miles away to find gas for the generators. Only Hess stations have kept their gas prices the same. Diesel fuel at a Citgo in VENICE, Florida was $1.79 Friday night when I filled up. This morning (Sunday), it was $1.89 and they were accepting only cash with the excuse that the credit card system was broken. Go figure that people paying for beer could use credit and debit cards.

As for the media death toll, don't believe a word of what you have heard, just as we even heard on the radio here today. Two of us went to deliver generator gas to relatives on Burnt Store Road in Punta Gorda (where the mobile home parks used to be that I wrote about earlier today here on RMN). We were stopped by FEMA, National Guard, and STATE POLICE who asked me to prove I had a reason to be there. I told them the exact name and address of my relative down the street, showed them our gas cans, showed them my military (retired) ID, and they eventually let me through after checking the name and address I had given them. There were MANY MANY body bags lined up on both sides of the road, far more than we could count as I drove slowly through that one block. There were search dogs and many teams going through the rubble not far from the main road. They hadn't even passed through 50 feet of rubble yet. But even worse was what I was unable to see on Friday night... body PARTS that were being collected. Our estimate is that there were at least 20-30 body bags already on BOTH sides, waiting to be put into trucks.

I really don't care what CNN or ANY biased and controlled media group wants to "estimate" or purportedly "report" about this disaster. The world is NOT being told the truth of what happened here and how many died. Why would they want to cover up a body count or death toll that we have already seen for ourselves? Why are we hearing JEB and his older brother GW on the Ft. Myers radio station tell us today that what we have seen with our own eyes didn't happen and doesn't exist?

I don't know what's going on other than what we are going through here right now; and for some reason, the powers that be are refusing to tell all of you the truth. You can come to your own conclusions or speculate why they are not being honest. As for me, I will continue to expose the truth here on RMN until there is no more to tell.

May the LifeCross bring Living Light to us all. Please remember us in your daily prayers and meditations.

UNDER-REPORTING BODY COUNTS: THEY'RE MERELY "MISSING"

Sunday, 15 August 2004, 10:45 p.m.

From an World Vision Portal reader. This would explain why relatives were being turned away today and were told that their family members were confirmed to be "missing":

The mass media, in collusion with government and insurance companies, purposely under-report the death tolls. FEMA simply spirits away the corpses in body bags before relatives can get into the area to indentify their deceased. Then when the relatives attempt to make claims on life insurance policies, the insurance companies do not pay out. The insurance companies will claim that the person is merely missing, not dead.

REPORT FROM FLORIDA: JOY AMONG THE HARDSHIPS

Monday, 16 August 2004, 11:30 p.m.

What an eye awakening day this was. I thought that I had seen it all having been involved from Viet Nam to the beginning of Desert Storm in my military and civilian law enforcement career, but today I learned about a new part of the shame game.

For those who won’t bother to read all this report, let me spell out the body counts that 6 of us (all retired military and/or law enforcement) went out to confirm today in different areas. These are confirmed bodies in the trucks, restaurant refers, or refer vans, and they are NOT “missing persons” or animals:

Charlotte Harbor areas – 58 dead as of 5pm today;
Fort Myers & the barrier islands – 21 deaths as of 3pm today;
Punta Gorda – 275+ deaths and escalating each hour;
Desoto County – 36 deaths, expected to increase;

These figures came from our own eyes, medical personnel, various county sheriff’s deputies, and eye witnesses or residents from the worst devastated areas. CNN and the rest of the world biased and controlled media are fooling none of us who live here. The current CONFIRMED body count in our 3 county area on the west coast of Florida is near 400 as I write this.

Readers should know right up front who is doing their best and who fails to pass the grade:

Honors awards to those people who have given and done the most:
1. City of North Port Police Department
2. Charlotte County Deputies
3. Desoto County Deputies
4. Visiting Pinellas County Deputies
5. Florida Power and Light
All of the above have gone beyond the call of duty. They are showing us what real cops and utility workers used to be... humanitarians.

Failing grades go to:
1. FEMA, the government loan people.
2. John Ellis Bush (JEB, the corporate Governor of Florida).
3. The untrained and unequipped remnants of the Florida National Guard.
4. George Walker Bush, the non-elected and appointed U.S. President.
5. Recycling firms who are stealing aluminum siding from destroyed mobile homes.
6. Those selling bags of ice for $10.
7. Thieves from Miami taking personal belongings from demolished homes.
8. Those thieves demanding money up front to file fake insurance claims.

Here’s some of what went on today...

There are staging areas for FEMA (with their red and white signs to let you know they are “there”), et al, that we could not openly enter into with photo and movie cameras having been “discovered” in our vehicles... our cars and pick-ups were searched in the “sensitive” areas where the worst devastation took place and where we were then refused entry. None-the-less, we still walked into most of these "off limits" areas at waterfront motels, I-75 restaurant/commercial areas, destroyed mobile home parks, and the temporary Charlotte morgue... to name a few. This is how we came up with the above figures for body counts. We spoke with medical personnel who have come from Miami to work triage and other temporary facilities, ambulance drivers (a special thanks to the Ambutrans people), homeless residents, and deputies from many different counties.

Considering most of the trained and experienced personnel and modern equipment from the Florida National Guard are now in the Middle East, JEB THE BUSH dared to send us antiquated equipment that broke down on I-75 driven by untrained personnel who have no idea what to do. Worse is that there were no water purification trucks (erdilators) sent, just old water tankers and old communications and storage trailers. It was a circus show and a true military cluster puck. There is no Florida National Guard... all the necessary equipment we need is sitting in Iraq or Kuwait right now.

A professional group of electronic thieves intercepted telephone calls from Lee and Charlotte counties to the special Allstate and State Farm insurance claims lines. They demanded credit card numbers and up-front payments from those calling in claims stating that they could guarantee 24 hour payment for all damages if the victims would pay $250-500 to them.

The lowest theft and emergency incident rate is in the City of North Port. Although they had little hurricane damage, most of their electric power was off from Friday afternoon until this afternoon (just a few neighborhoods are still without power). For a rapidly growing city with the third largest city land mass in Florida, they managed to control traffic, stop burglaries and other thefts, and were “gentlemen” with all Charlotte, Desoto, and Lee county people who went there for food and gas. They are grossly understaffed, yet they have performed like a crack military unit. One member of our group insists that I especially thank Lieutenant Choinere for his assistance.

There is NO Martial Law here. In fact, all city and county law enforcement are stretched to the limit. While they work overtime and are as physically exhausted as we are, Federal and State law enforcement departments do very little [if anything] in comparison. The local departments are shunned by the State and Federal “boys”, yet the locals are doing far more than their share of what is needed.

The biggest joke going around among us is about the guy who walked up in the new white car - wearing a nice suit in our 90% humidity - who said, “I’m from FEMA and I’m here to help you.” The ladies ran one of these “suits” out of our neighborhood today when he told them that we can “borrow” all the money we needed to rebuild.... with interest. They are no different than the other FED banksters posing as “community” banks. Not one of us cares to become one of the new federal sheeple.

As of this morning, our area has found the need to organize our own security 24/7. Last night and early this morning, we had thieves driving our streets stealing personal belongings and clothes that had not yet been collected from those neighbors who hadn’t made it back here yet. We now warn all the Miami and Tampa gangs roaming our streets that if you dare to once again trespass in our community, you will deal with better armed resistance from us than you would from the local police and Sheriff’s Departments. Other areas are now doing the same as we are. We will personally protect ourselves and what possessions we have left. We have been through far too much to be victims of prey.

It rained hard for an hour today. My house, the temporary home and designated "sanctuary" for a dozen people, had more damage than I thought as water poured into 3 rooms. I guess that’s why they invented buckets. The 3-cylinder diesel generator has been purring non-stop like a kitten and used no oil over the past 2 days. That was the best investment I ever made along with the storage tanks for potable water. I guess I have earned my Boy Scout survival merit badge now.

To give credit where credit is due, all the pictures I have posted were taken by my eldest daughter with her own camera and uploaded onto my laptop via a USB connector. She came here for a visit 3 days before Charley arrived and got a vacation she will never forget! I have no working camera of my own right now, but others have been taking pictures and we are trying to find a place to develop the films. After that, and as soon as we find a working scanner, I'll be posting them here on RMN if Rayelan can spare the bandwidth. Be patient... we're working on it.

I can only get internet access when driving north 20 miles, so this report may be a little late, but is the latest news I have collected today. Hopefully, I can start using a North Port connection much closer to my house now that power has been restored there.

Visiting volunteer police and deputies are very frustrated that their in-car computers and radios do not work with local police and local County law enforcement. The State and Federal alphabet groups seem to care less. The out-of-area volunteer cops have had to escort thieves to the county line instead of arresting them for stealing. Their “law enforcement” hands are tied in more ways than one. Thanks guys... we know you’re trying to do all you can to protect us, but we’ll handle it from now on since the STATE legalities won’t allow you do the job you need to do.

We have all found out that there is nothing better than a local community effort. We take shifts getting gas for the generators and for buying food, have organized our own security and damage clean-up teams, and the ladies are cooking up a storm with the charcoal and gas grills. Many of us only barely knew each other a week ago. Now, we have become a community family. There are no more blank faces of shock among any of us. We are strengthening each other and working with one another. There is no segregation or racism among us, and we represent a local community of many different races, nationalities, and colors.

This is what the Living Light brings to those who seek it. The LifeCross within us all never fails regardless of our circumstances. For the first time any of us have ever remembered, this new neighborhood that now exists has become one... all are one.

In this adversity we have and will continue to face, and among all the devastation our eyes see surrounding us, we have learned to be a collective family. For this, all of us are grateful. There is joy in the hardship each of us face with every passing hour. We have found that our daily hardships have made our spirits stronger. Surely, no man, woman, or child has been left behind among us. We encourage and strengthen each other. This is what Life is all about.

CHARLEY UPDATE: PEACE RIVER CONTAMINATED WITH POISONS

Wednesday, 18 August 2004, 10:21 a.m.

At first, we thought the dead fish floating downstream in the Peace River were a result of Hurricane Charley. But at night, we saw the water glow from our flashlights and realized our worst fears... the river was full of phosphates. We had been using the river water for bathing since Saturday morning. Obviously, we no longer go near the river that flows not far from our doorsteps.

The Peace River begins in central Florida and flows south 105 miles to the Charlotte Harbor Estuary. The Peace River is an important source of Florida’s drinking water, supplying about 6 million gallons of drinking water every day to 4 counties along the Southwest Coast of Florida, basically those areas now devastated by Hurricane Charley.

To get at the rich deposits of phosphate in the Peace River watershed, since the 1890's, phosphate mining companies have been boring and scraping out huge pits that reach thousands of acres in size. One by-product of the extraction process is clay which is stored in settling ponds. Sometimes, the man-made earthen dams of these clay ponds collapse sending uranium and radium contaminated waste clay into the river which then suffocates fish, flora, and fauna. It also kills the animals depending on that water and flora for survival.

In 1971, a settling pond spill turned Charlotte Harbor “to chocolate milk” according to newspaper accounts at the time. They estimated there were 3 million dead fish back then. In the past, clay slime spills have prevented the Peace River Manasota Water Supply Authority from using river flows for drinking water, forcing counties to seek water supplies elsewhere or rely on stored supplies.

Regardless of any future debunker reports that may attempt to rebuff this article, have no doubt or question that the Peace River is - at this very moment - highly contaminated. All the fish are dead from Arcadia to Charlotte Harbor. The water coming down-stream is muddy and glows at night when flashlights shine on it. The next 2 weeks will prove this beyond any doubt as animals and fowl begin to die after eating the contaminated river fauna and drinking the water. It has happened before. In the future, anyone who drinks water processed from the Peace River, throughout 4 Florida Counties, will be drinking uranium and radium contaminated water. The effects are said to be no different than the depleted uranium in Iraq.

The ironic part of this is that the mining companies have insisted for years that this could never happen. We the people have fought the Florida State environmental permits that have been granted to these foreign owned mining companies, but we have lost every objection we made to protect our environment and drinking water. Few know that the majority of the phosphate fertilizers processed from the Peace River mining sites are sent to China.

CHARLEY UPDATE: YES, THERE REALLY IS AN AMERICAN SPIRIT

Wednesday, 18 August 2004, 3:07 p.m.

Hello America,

The human spirit is an amazing force of power, compassion, and strength. I am amazed at what is happening around us. It is NOT any government or agency group that has taken on the crux of the relief efforts here: The AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE THE PRIMARY RELIEF EFFORT.

Since yesterday, privately owned pick-up trucks, vans, and utility trailers filled with food, water, tarps, gasoline, generators, candles, and all sorts of other needed items, have been arriving at neighborhoods freely distributing everything they have. I spoke with a man who came from Georgia with 12 new generators and new 5 gallon gas cans for each one, all filled with gas. He and his neighbors pitched in and bought all that equipment. No-one asked them to, they just did it.

A young mother from Naples in a red Ford Van showed up with her 2 small children to distribute hundreds of loaves of bread she had bought. The little girls were handing a loaf of bread to an old man and the younger sister said to him, “You look like my grandpa. You can have my peanut butter and jelly momma brought with us for lunch.” She went to the cooler and handed him her half jar of peanut butter and a jar of strawberry jam.

A contractor from Bradenton arrived in his pickup towing a Bobcat tractor, followed by his two dump trucks trailering well-used bucket loaders. They unloaded their equipment, started up their chain saws, and cleared out a block of debris within an hour. He and his employees are volunteering their time and equipment just to help in the way they know best. The owner told me, “We don’t want to accept money for what we’re doing. We don’t want insurance companies or any government to pay us. We’re here because we’re needed. Let's just leave it at that.”

One small box van truck was loaded with new Coleman camping stoves, Coleman lanterns, and cases of small propane fuel tanks for the stoves. He was going door-to-door asking if anyone needed the stoves or lamps, and he gave them to those in need free of charge. The tag on his truck was from Texas. I saw another truck from Georgia handing out the last of his cases of bottled water.

These are not State Agency employees or federally funded groups. These are Americans who have compassion. They too are devastated by all this, but in a different way: They see what has happened here and they weep as they get out of their cars and pickups. They give hugs to strangers and they keep saying to everyone that they are sorry they couldn’t bring more food or supplies, but they’ll be back tomorrow with more... and so they are.

Small caravans of pickups and personal vehicles are traveling in on I-75 today, headed for Pt. Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Arcadia, and all the other devastated areas. I passed perhaps hundreds of them as I drove north to post this report. These people are organizing their neighbors, family, and friends into a relief effort of compassion we have never seen or experienced before. They are buying all the supplies and food from their own pockets and distributing it as fast as they can, then heading back to their neighborhoods and jobs to reload and rally their neighbors or co-workers into a new caravan of supplies and food.

Many are arriving with camper trailers and Motor Homes for family and friends to live in. I have even seen a man handing out $20 bills to those who have lost everything. No-one has told them to do this. No-one has given them an incentive to purchase all these items. Not one of them is expecting to be re-paid for what they’re doing. They are doing this from their heart and from their spirit.

Curfews are in effect basically from dusk to dawn, so some arriving with supplies and food are sleeping in parking lots in outlying areas waiting for 7am so they can enter in, unload, and head back for another load. Their efforts are genuine and they are blessing people who thought there was no hope of help. But some government agencies are trying to stop these humanitarians and insisting they only do this through government distribution points. In theory, that might eventually work, but in reality, the distribution is not working efficiently right now to reach each neighborhood. Many victims of Charley are elderly and have no vehicles to come to the “official” distribution points. It is only through the efforts of individuals and small groups that this is working.

I have been contacted, through email, by various mainstream newspapers and other controlled radio media asking for interviews and copyright permission to publish my posts. My answer to them is if they couldn’t report the truth before, then I doubt they will report the truth now. More so, I am not about to let any of them increase their profits via the larger readership they will receive from these updates or eyewitness reports. As for the alternative media groups who have contacted me, I will try to get back with you as soon as I am able.

Regarding the repeated email requests that we post pictures of the fatalities: The pictures we have will not be posted or published anywhere for the near future. We all voted and it was unanimous that these pictures be kept safe and eventually be used to expose the mounting untruths that are unfolding from this disaster. Besides that, we feel there is enough death surrounding us at the moment; enough horror has already been seen and experienced. If we post any of those kinds of pictures, others will use them for their own purposes, for personal fame, or for political gain.

The reason my update was not posted here last night is that in my foolishness to try to do it all, I was overcome with heat exhaustion. What is making matters more difficult here is the 100 degree heat and extreme humidity. We all sweat just standing outside, so this is making our work slow down to a very slow pace. A warning to all volunteers arriving to help out: PLEASE be careful not to overheat. Force yourself to drink at least a quart OR MORE of water per hour if you are working outside or in a building without fans or air conditioning. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are a major concern for everyone right now.

I spoke with 2 soldiers from a National Guard road security patrol yesterday afternoon. They confirmed to me that the body count being at least 400 (as I reported in an earlier update) was much lower than the current count. I was told to look for “ice company delivery trucks” parked near, but not at, the destroyed mobile home parks and badly destroyed housing neighborhoods. “People simply think they’re delivering badly needed ice, but they’re not moving from their parking places for a reason.” There is no doubt that the deaths here are far higher than even what we have been able to find out for ourselves in different areas. The major question is this: Why and for what purpose is this not being reported by the government or the mainstream media? Every Floridian and American should be demanding that the truth be told.

The Florida National Guard is in charge of Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We learned about this from the NG patrol right before Tom Ridge arrived in Ft. Myers. How nice that they are protecting the mansions and multi-million dollar homes while less influential neighborhoods – where the great majority of Americans live and where the worst destruction took place - have yet to see an Army Humvee on their street. I guess the elite take care of their own while the rest of us pay taxes for the National Guard to protect their island mansions.

Don’t worry yourself, Director Ridge... we’re taking care of ourselves, have our own neighborhood security with local police to back us up; and more importantly, we have real Americans helping one another without any need for your Agency to tell us what to do. Just stick to what you do best... posting different colors on TV for your purported terror alert system. And by the way, please stop forcing those of us getting fuel and supplies off the two lane roads with your 12 police car motorcades with lights and sirens blaring. You are not a tenth as important as the least important survivor of Charley. All you big shot politicians and government “officials” are in the way, so just head back to your government offices and let Americans take care of one another.

Publix and Albertsons food stores have seemingly done more to help than any Federal Agency. They have given away water and food to those who simply asked.

Because different local and county communications are not on the same frequencies or systems, and due to an urgent need for communications with rescue and relief efforts, the local disaster coordination groups are asking for the immediate assistance of HAM operators with MOBILE HAM RADIO UNITS, either hand-held or in their vehicles. Just come to any community center or Sheriff’s department post in Charlotte, Desoto, or Lee counties. This is vitally needed especially for rescue and relief efforts.

The local police and Sheriff’s departments are doing one heck of a job. Just traffic control alone is no easy task, especially at night when there are no traffic lights or street lamps at busy intersections. These men and women are standing out in the 100 degree heat on 8-12 hour shifts wearing hot reflective vests. If you happen to be driving past one of them, please hand them a bottle of cold water IF you will not disrupt the flow of traffic in doing so. It would be greatly appreciated.

For all the picture takers and morbid gawkers, please stay home. This especially applies to those asking where the worst damage was and where the most deaths were. This is not a Hollywood movie set and we do not appreciate you driving by with your cameras. Please, allow us to keep our dignity. We don’t need your kind here. That includes the mainstream media reporters and photographers... just stick to your staged government media tours, take more pictures of the National Guard troops, and save your film.

I am at a loss for words to accurately describe the compassionate love from those Americans who have taken it upon themselves to clear debris from streets, nail tarps onto leaking roofs, supply food and water, and so very much more. ALL of them are doing this from the depths of their hearts. I know that there is not one victim of Hurricane Charley who would disagree with us in saying, YOU ARE THE HEROES OF THIS DISASTER.

From our own small group of retired vets, we salute every one of you who are voluntarily doing so much. Thank you for your honor, integrity, and courage to do all you are doing. You are fighting to keep dignity in our souls and food in our mouths. Without you, the battle would have been lost already. It is because of your American Spirit that we are overcoming the great odds put up against us.

Yes, Virginia... there really is an America. It is not measured by borders, political boundaries, or by fancy maps. America lives and dwells in the hearts of those who help one another and care about their neighbor. God Bless the real Americans.

WE WILL LEAVE NO VICTIM BEHIND

Postby Gnosty » 24 Aug 2004, 00:58

HURRICANE CHARLEY: WE WILL LEAVE NO VICTIM BEHIND

Monday, August 22, 11:55 p.m.

Hello America,

The slogan NO VICTIM WILL BE LEFT BEHIND represents the desire and goal of our small group of retired Vets. Because we survived the destruction ourselves, we will not allow the other victims of Hurricane Charley to be forgotten, and this especially includes the hundreds who have already died. We will continue to expose the truth of what REALLY happened in the wake of Hurricane Charley.

But there are urgent needs our fellow neighbors have right now... today. Water is OK for those who don’t have to endure 95 degree days and 90% humidity, but products like Gatorade that contain essential salts and other minerals are badly needed here. Dehydration and heat exhaustion are our worst enemy right now.

We have had 2 of our electric generators stolen since Saturday evening (this was on top of the 5 new units that somehow burned up and stopped working). This proves how desperate other victims of Charley have become. We only have 4 working generator units right now and we know of the need for at least 20 at the moment right in our own small development.

There is little to no National Guard presence other than a passing Humvee every once and awhile. Since the Military Police National Guard units of Florida are in Kuwait and Iraq, few have said anything about how much they are needed here right now. Since when is the National Guard too occupied in a foreign nation to help those in their own state? GOVERNOR JEB BUSH NEEDS TO BE IMPEACHED for allowing our own Florida Guard units and fellow neighbors to be sitting in the Middle East. Field Artillery FNG units are directing traffic (if you can call it that) and providing security (the biggest joke Tallahassee has ever dared to pull) with absolutely NO training for either necessity. The local Sheriff’s departments are stretched to the limits, especially in Desoto and Charlotte Counties.

It’s amazing how anyone can expect inexperienced and untrained National Guard soldiers to direct traffic when they have no idea how to do so and have never been even remotely trained in this. We need our Army MP units from the Florida National Guard back home NOW where they belong.

Most people cannot get to the distribution centers for food or water, so it’s necessary that we go to them. Please remember that this area of Florida is a retirement area where the elderly either no longer drive or cannot drive any longer. Many have no relatives or children to check up on them, so we and so many others here are doing our best to find those who have no way to receive help. I can tell you that for every elderly homebound victim we find, there are hundreds more who we have not been able to reach. It’s an impossible goal unless Floridian’s who are able begin distributing all the stockpiled supplies at the distribution centers to each and every neighbor pitch in. The “official” help is mostly hype. All of us feel that we have been abandoned by Washington City and the City of Tallahassee. But on TV it looks as if the truth were just the opposite. What lies.

We now have a PayPal link for those who would like to help us distribute whatever is needed to other Charley victims. We’ll purchase the essentials and distribute them to our fellow victims and neighbors:

http://worldvisionportal.org/wvpforum/v ... .php?t=223

There is also a public forum at the World Vision Portal for "missing" and confirmed dead relatives as well as updates from eye-witness sources. This is an essential tool to document what is actually going on here:

http://worldvisionportal.org/wvpforum/index.php?c=11

On another note, many horses and cows had to be shot by Deputies because of serious injuries in Desoto County. While this is of little importance compared to the human lives lost within the past 11 days, it illustrates the desperate situation we are all still in.

I can’t help but see how all that Forestry Department heavy equipment was rushed to Sanibel and Captiva islands while the majority of the older and less influential neighborhoods have been forgotten. Just because someone is elderly and lived in a mobile home doesn’t make them any less important. Have “the powers that be” forgotten that all those who are poor and elderly are someone’s mother or father, or a grandmother or grandfather? Apparently they have.

A Port Charlotte man was arrested for shooting out the tires of a car that was looting his neighbors and tried to run him over. Even more ironic is that he was the one who called the police to report it! It’s obvious enough that if we don’t protect ourselves, we might as well just pile up whatever possessions we have left on the curb for all the thieves and immoral trash roaming the neighborhoods day and night. They even rob us by boat in the canals between those houses still standing.

Before it was removed by a State Trooper, the Kings Road exit off I-75 southbound had a sign erected by local residents. It said, “Camp Charlotte – Sightseers Go Home”. Of course, this didn’t look good for the cameras following the JEB BUSH motorcade, so it was promptly removed before any rogue media reporter photographed it. Staged media tours do not include home-made signs erected by hurricane victims.

I still can’t get over the strength of all my neighbors. None of them will stop until there is no victim left behind. This is an amazing testimonial to the human spirit no-one can deny or take away. This is why we will not stop until the truth about all those killed and missing is revealed by whatever means we must use. We are ALL eye witnesses to the bodies we have seen. Those pictures will never be erased from our minds no matter who tries to tell us we didn’t see what we saw. Those are the facts and they will remain the truth regardless of what the mainstream media is saying.

MORE THAN 31 THOUSAND DESTROYED OR UNINHABITABLE HOUSES

August 24, 2004 5:30 p.m.

According to the latest statistics, Hurricane Charley caused an estimated $7.4 BILLION damage... so far.

Today, the American Red Cross has estimated that 12,019 homes were destroyed. This does not include 19,095 homes that have major damage and are uninhabitable in their present state of repair. 32,755 homes have minor damage and can be lived in while repairs are made, and 20,218 have less major damage, such as missing shingles. At least 5,661 homes were still inaccessible as of their report and it was unknown what damage they may have.

How nice it is of the County Tax Collectors to "delay" tax assessments that were just mailed out or are about to be mailed. For some people, they will sooner or later be required to pay taxes on property that they no longer have. Governor Jeb Bush made it a point to let the victims of Charley know that they won't have to pay their property tax assessments... until later on.

With 12 Thousand homes already confirmed as destroyed, and perhaps another 8 thousand uninsured homes that are uninhabitable and will not be repaired, the developers are going to have a field day buying up the former 30 or so mobile home parks that have been wiped out in Charlotte County alone. In fact, real estate speculators are already posting signs in devastated areas stating "cash for your lot". Many people are taking their low-ball offers and selling out. Prior to Charley's arrival, prices for vacant lots were sky high, but not any longer.

Let's just take a common sense look at things for a moment. Here we have all these many thousands of destroyed homes, plus thousands of uninhabitable homes that are damaged so much that they are unsafe. Yet we're being told that there are only 25 deaths from Hurricane Charley... and about half of these were related to post-hurricane accidents and medical condition deaths.

Here we have 12,000 totally destroyed homes... flattened and demolished, and not distinguishable as anything other than a trash pile. There were no advanced mandatory evacuations for inland areas until it was too late. Nearly all those in Charley's path were either huddled in bathrooms or in other safe places in our homes. The power of Charley's winds were like being hit by a locomotive train, which is far worse than being slammed by an 18 wheel tractor trailer. Imagine a train smashing through your house because that's just what happened to more than 12,000 houses and mobile homes. If you were inside your mobile home or house, what are the odds that you could have survived such a destructive power and force?

Yet we are being told that roughly 12 people died from the direct impact of hurricane Charley, a 175+ mph locomotive fury. That's merely 1 fatality for every 1,000 TOTALLY destroyed homes. Where did all those people huddled in the 12,000 or so bathrooms go to? Did they somehow get beamed up by Captain Kirk to safety? Did Charley descriminantly avoid all bathrooms where people were hiding and praying?

OK, let's be extremely conservative and say, for illustration only, that half of those completely destroyed homes were vacant. Now we're hypothetically looking at just 6,000 totally destroyed homes with just one person inside when Charley hit with little to no warning. And remember, most of the destroyed homes were flimsy mobile homes, the vast majority of which were older models that did not meet current hurricane safety standards. Are we to believe that there was just one fatality for every 500 demolished homes? And this is a hypothetical "half" figure I'm using here!

People in most of Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, and the surrounding areas did NOT evacuate. The odds are, most people were in their homes when we got hit. The odds also say that escaping the deadly force of Charley, as evidenced by the destruction left in its aftermath, were slim to none for at least 12,000 homeowners.

By all common sense, and just using the Red Cross statistics released today, it is surely no exaggeration to say that the death toll from Hurricane Charley may reach into thousands.

Now you can see how absurd the "official" death toll is. Add to this the bodies that were seen by so many residents in the late afternoon and early evening hours of Friday, August 13, and it's not possible that there were only 12 or so hurricane directly related deaths.

Americans and the world... WAKE UP and demand that you be told the truth. Call every Florida radio and TV station and tell them to stop lying. Demand that they report the truth.

We refuse to leave any victim behind.

MODERN-DAY BODY SNATCHERS DISCOVERED

Before bringing you the investigative update on the mobile home park “body snatchers” of Charlotte and Desoto Counties, I'm going to first address the Florida State employee who was driving the brown Ford Taurus with the yellow Florida State official tag, No. 201104, heading south on King’s Highway through Lake Suzy at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25:

You don’t know us (yet), but we were in one of the two cars you ran off the road as you drove at high speed down the middle of that two-lane road through our residential area. Does that help jog your memory? You were behind the Chevrolet Silverado pickup that had the red and blue windshield strobe lights and non-official “civilian” Florida tags. I guess you didn’t think either car you nearly crashed head-on into would turn around and follow you to the red light at I-75... but surprise! I pulled up behind you and the other victim of your reckless driving adventure pulled up in front of you in the right lane (next to the Chevrolet pickup). It was nice of you to wait so patiently for the light to turn green, as did the pickup you were still behind that no longer had any strobe lights flashing. That’s right... you’ve been caught abusing your authority and recklessly endangering lives while you were doing it. I’m sure your State boss will be having a talk with you shortly... as well as a criminal judge.

Now, let’s talk about the notorious “body snatchers” of Southwest Florida. Ever since Friday afternoon, August 13, we have wondered what happened to the bodies we had seen at the two former mobile home parks located in Charlotte County, let alone those many bodies in other mobile home parks residents, National Guard soldiers, and Sheriff’s Deputies had sworn to us they personally observed. As I stated in an earlier report, we were there before any rescue or emergency services were on the scene... within 2 hours after Charley had passed through our area. We know what we saw as we are retired from either military or civilian law enforcement (or both), with the exception of a minor family member who was with us that night.

A couple of days ago, it just happened that I ran into the son of a junior officer who had served with me for many years in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps. His son is a RA Officer assigned to the Florida National Guard and was in Desoto County when we met... neither of us at first knowing the common tie between his retired Army father and myself. As fate would put it, we ran into each other trying to free a horse tangled up in some barbed wire on a side road off U.S. 17 south of Arcadia. He had stopped in his Humvee to offer assistance.

After we realized our uncanny “family” ties, I asked him if he knew what happened to all the bodies I had observed a week before in the mobile home parks. I also told him what we had seen when we later returned to that area and asked him, as I had already concluded, if this was a military operation. His reply was “you saw what you saw,” and then he proceeded to explain what he had been doing since he arrived early Saturday morning, August 14. I can relay to every reader that, because of the honor of the “Esprit de Corps” between Military Police officers, what you are about to read may seem surreal, but it is none-the-less the truth that you will surely not hear in the mainstream controlled media.

By 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, both Washington City and Tallahassee knew of the real devastation and of the many hundreds of local EDS/EMS confirmed deaths in the wake of Hurricane Charley. As a part of the emergency S.O.P, specific MP (specialist) command units were sent to Charlotte County from Ft. Leonard Wood and Ft. Stewart, most arriving just before dawn on Saturday, August 14. Their specific orders were to secure all the mobile home parks from the local and State authorities, and to seal off these areas from all but “authorized” personnel. By the time JEB BUSH arrived on Saturday, this had been fully accomplished in both Charlotte and Desoto Counties. Every County Deputy, city Police Officer, and all other local Emergency Services personnel had been “relieved” from their mobile home park duties by the Military Police command and re-assigned to other areas.

As part of the operation, a curfew was set into place beginning Saturday evening for all areas affected by Charley. It remains in effect tonight as I finish writing this report. This curfew had (and still has) a two-fold purpose. The first and most obvious purpose was to control order during darkness, a very legitimate necessity. A multiple fatality tractor trailer and car accident at a US-41 intersection gave strength to the curfew due to traffic lights being inoperable.

The second purpose was to carry out search, recovery, and transport operations by “authorized” Federal teams. While residents were kept off the public streets, perimiters were established and non-residents were denied entrance, the mobile home parks were lit up by Army field generator units, searched, and bodies recovered. Those bodies were then transported out of the area on I-75 in refrigerated trucks marked “Emergency Response Services” with magnetic signs on the doors. These were some of the very same trucks that brought supplies into the area from Lakeland, Florida. It also serves to illustrate why there were so many refer semi’s sitting in Lakeland that were not yet authorized to go to the Port Charlotte area, and why some were sitting for a day or two at a time at the bulk center drop-off on I-75 at the rest stop in Charlotte County.

Who - from police to other local and State personnel guarding the streets - would question the presence of these trucks both entering and exiting the area as FEMA “distribution” points were being constantly supplied 24 hours a day?

This is how it has all been carried out:

Bodies were recovered, placed into standard issue body bags (as well as large black “trash” type bags for body parts), loaded into military 2-1/2 and 5 ton covered troop carriers, sent to either of two secured “transfer” areas located near I-75, then loaded into the refer semi’s for their journey to military installations throughout North America. The truck drivers never knew what their cargo was as they were not only kept away from the actual loading, but each trailer was well sealed and locked. No-one knew the better and there was no suspicion since it all just looked “routine.”

If you want an “official” body count from the local morgues, don’t bother as there are no bodies there other than from hospital and accidental deaths after August 13. There is nothing clever about how the removal of the 30+ mobile home park bodies was carried out... it’s the standard operational procedure for military operations of this type. Whenever a civilian population is involved in the immediate area of recovery, they are isolated by curfews or secure perimeter lines from seeing night operations being carried out. This is nothing new, and every war Veteran should remember seeing this carried out in the field of operations, just as it goes on in Iraq today. But the difference here is that Charlotte and Desoto Counties are not considered war zones.

In order to verify what I was told above, our growing group of Vets spoke with a dozen or so National Guard patrols as they stopped by our neighborhood. While a few were reluctant to say anything to us, some were not hesitant to talk about everything they had seen... from dead fish to a body seen floating down the Peace River. Are any who told us about the bodies revealing national secrets? One Corporal answered that question when he said, “I thought everyone knew about the bodies. Isn’t it on the news?” When we told him the “official” death toll was around 20, he laughed at us and accused us of playing games with him. He genuinely had no idea that the public had no idea of the truth.

But of course there’s no cover-up. As one email I received today put it, since I can’t give him a single name of any of the dead bodies I personally saw, then I can’t be believed. I guess I didn’t realize that I was supposed to check the bodies for picture ID when we stumbled on them that Friday evening. No-one told us that in order for our eye-witness accounts to be believed or to be considered authentic, we would have to know the name and address of every corpse we saw on the side of the road.

A worse tragedy (if anything could be worse than what has already been revealed) in all this “body snatching” going on is the extremely high death toll of migrant workers. In Desoto County, especially on or near US-17 where the eye of Charley followed to the Northeast, most mobile homes and all sub-standard housing was occupied by migrant fruit pickers and undocumented farm laborers. They didn’t legally or officially “exist” in the first place, so don’t expect their deaths to “exist” either.

But of course there’s no conspiracy. There are only 25 or so official deaths throughout the entire State as a result of Hurricane Charley. If you believe that, I have some swamp land in Florida you might be interested in buying.

WHEN THE DEAD DISAPPEAR, THEY ARE OFFICIALLY "MISSING"

It's all quite simple when you think about it. To both government and business, death is a matter of economics. When a human body is never found, regardless of what happened to it, the name and person associated with that body is simply "missing" and is never officially considered dead.

In the same way, when a human body is "disposed" of in some manner, it no longer exists. If it no longer exists, it is never counted as a mortality. That body is simply "unaccounted for." Unless a body is physically accounted for, it will never be listed as dead.

Soon, it will be 30 years since the US Military pulled out of Viet Nam. What has happened to all the MIA's? Thousands are still officially Missing in Action. They are not dead nor killed in action... they are missing and unaccounted for. Likewise, after all these years, former Union leader Jimmy Hoffa is presumed dead, but he is offically "missing." Someone most likely disposed of his body, but until it is found, he will never be officially dead. There are still many "missing" from the 9-11-01 World Trade Center disaster. They, too, are not officially dead yet because their bodies have not been accounted for or found.

You will soon hear from the myriad of "officials" that thousands of those who were in the path of Hurricane Charley are still "missing." This will consist of those few who are genuinely missing and the many that have been disposed of in one way or another.

Life insurance policies are not paid out on "missing persons." There are no FEMA or other available funds for "missing persons." All such people are "unaccounted for," so the government still views them as "alive" but they are temporarily (and more often permanently) "missing." Insurance companies will cancel their Life Insurance Policies if the premiums are not paid, so rather than having to pay out untold hundreds of $millions, they will keep the premiums already paid to them and the policies will lapse. Poof... instant profits. What a windfall this will be for all those profit insurance companies. At the least, this will offset much of their property damage losses and perhaps keep some insurance firms from going broke.

Those thousands still missing from 1992's Hurricane Andrew twelve years ago are not officially dead yet. They are all unaccounted for and no bodies have been recovered, so they are still "missing."

When you hear the future reports of the "missing" from Hurricane Charley, just remember that nearly all of those people are physically dead. This, America, is an accurate death count. Bodies and body parts that are disposed of are not dead... they are officially "missing."

Soldiers wear metal ID's called dog tags. When they are killed in the field and the body cannot be recovered, an officer or NCO will remove their dog tag and they will become officially dead. But civilians don't wear dog tags. The elderly and migrant workers do not have to be accounted for. Federal Medicare and State Medicaid coffers will be better off since none of these "missing" persons will need those government paid-for medical services in the future... or free schooling for their children and grandchildren.

When you take a good look at it all, Charley's low "official" death toll is simply a matter of government economics. Disposing of the elderly and poor migrant farm worker bodies is an economic windfall when you consider the thousands of health, education, and welfare claims that will no longer be a burden to the Federal and Florida State agencies. The Medicare and Medicaid claims will drop off immediately in Southwest Florida. Far less Food Stamps will be given out.

The thousands who are unaccounted for and officially "missing" from the destructive path of Charley are good economics for government. The same was true of Hurricane Andrew. The pattern is well established. Expect all disasters in the future to have low death counts and high "missing" persons counts, regardless of how many people were really killed or how many bodies were actually found.

Hurricane Charley and Scalar Electromagnetics

First, a brief background regarding Scalar Electromagnetics and how they effect weather and the human mind.

The key discovery made by Tesla in the late 1800’s was that the earth itself reverberated with a pulsing electrical current in the low ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) range. Tesla had also discovered the exact frequency at which the earth normally pulsates. These natural waves are created as a result of electrical activity in the atmosphere. Collectively, these waves are called The Schumann Resonance. These are quasi-standing [SCALAR] ELF waves that naturally exist in the earth's electromagnetic cavity, the space between the ground and the Ionosphere.

By causing many towers [HAARP, GWEN, etc.] to pulse with the exact ELF frequency of the normal earth pulsation, scientists have learned how to not only create, but also how to maneuver and direct storms. Tesla’s discovery can duplicate almost every single phenomena of nature, from cyclones to tornados; and now, with Solar Power Satellites used in conjunction with land based towers, weather Control is just that simple.

GWEN (Ground Wave Emergency Network) transmitter towers bathe the entire U.S. in an artificial magnetic field which can rise from the ground to 500 ft, but also goes down into the ground as deep as a normal basement. Everyone can be affected and mind-controlled. This entire artificial ground wave spreads out over North America like a spider’s web.

The natural earth ELF waves are identical to the frequency spectrum of our human brainwaves, and it has been proven that the use of an ELF bombardment - at the same frequency as the human brain - can change a person's thoughts or emotions. In the early 1960’s, Dr Andrija Puharich discovered various mental effects of ELF, specifically that 7.83 Hz (the earth's pulse rate) made a person feel good, producing an altered-state; that 10.80 Hz caused riotous behavior; and that 6.6 Hz caused depression. It has since been discovered that 10 Hz puts people into a hypnotic state.

In speaking with everyone I can who survived the direct path of Hurricane Charley, I have begun to see a definite pattern in their stories. At first, it appeared that this was the effect of rapid barometric pressure changes that accompany powerful hurricanes. But people were not just describing the pressure they felt in their ears or the other physical signs of rapid pressure changes. Rather, they were describing extreme mental and mood changes they could not control.

About an hour before the center of Hurricane Charley passed over, survivors have described how they became very tired, depressed, and lethargic. While an approaching hurricane would depress just about anyone anticipating its arrival, the depression every survivor has described was not the anxiety depression such anticipation would typically invoke. This was an overall mental and physical depression that even affected them with general body aches and a widespread feeling of non-wellbeing. Almost all said it was as if they were drugged with a pain killer, but without the “goofy” side effects. They could do the things they needed to do, such as get mattresses into their bathrooms to huddle under, but their thinking seemed “surreal.”

When the eye passed over, they described feeling “numbed,” both mentally and physically. While a few took a look outside to see if it was all over, most said they just didn’t have a thought to do anything other than sleep and not move an inch from where they were.

When the backside of Charley came, the same numbness as in the beginning again overwhelmed them. But what is most interesting is what they all described after Charley had finished its fury, from 1 to 3 hours later. Stupor, hypnotized, trance, under a spell, and zombie were the most common descriptions. Even though they were aware that the hurricane had passed, they were mentally not able to do anything. Some knew it was all over, but they just wanted to sleep. Nearly all just stayed put and didn’t bother to check their own surroundings. Nothing made sense, it was hard to get words spoken past a mental thought, and there was no fear or care about anything.

Personally, Charley was the third hurricane direct hit I have lived through, yet I never felt the same symptoms with the first two as I did with Charley. I experienced the same as all those who survived this hurricane with me. We all felt the exact same way before, during, and after, and we all agree that it was very odd the way we felt mentally and physically for those few hours. Moreso, those of us who have lived through previous hurricanes all agree that we never felt like this during our previous experiences. Our experience with Hurricane Charley was unique and different.

If ELF Scalar Electromagnetic frequencies were used, this would account for what I have described above. But more than that, if such Scalar EM was present, then this may also account for the rapid change in Hurricane Charley’s direction. Scalar mind and weather manipulation are accomplished in the same ELF range, and that is not just an unproven theory: It is a proven scientific fact.

When Charley was approaching Jamaica, the oddest thing took place. It was following a direct line path through the center of Jamaica, but suddenly it made a perfect arched curve to the south, and ended up back on its original course after it had swung around the island. That was just as odd as the sudden right-hand turn it made into Charlotte Harbor. There’s no doubt that since hurricane paths have been recorded over the past 200 years, no hurricane ever acted like Charley did or had ever followed such an erratic path. This was one of the biggest reasons Tampa was the predicted landfall area.

There are lots of unanswered questions about Charley, but one strong possibility is that it was manipulated using ELF Scalar methods. The symptoms we all experienced and the erratic behavior of Charley itself seem to lend credibility to this likelihood. For those like Tom Bearden and others who have far greater knowledge about Scalar, GWEN, HAARP, and ELF, I invite your comments. All of us would like some answers.
